Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI to operate and maintain GE 1.5sle turbines and related equipment. The role involves routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting to ensure reliable energy generation.

The position requires climbing turbine towers daily, working outdoors in varying weather, and adherence to safety protocols. A 40-hour week with overtime and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders to heights above 80 meters (250 ft).
• Able to move/manipulate up to 45 kg (100 lb). Weight limit 120 kg (265 lb) excluding gear.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Drug testing required for conditional offers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods.
