Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI. The role requires climbing towers, performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, and ensuring a safe, efficient wind farm operation.

The position is on-site with a 40-hour week plus overtime during peak periods. Candidates should have at least 1 year of technical experience or related education, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of technical experience or related education preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect, maintain or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace components as needed.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
