Job summary

Invenergy LLC is hiring a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, climb towers daily, and ensure safe, efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of mechanical/electrical technical experience or education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb towers.
• Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and carry equipment.
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs) excluding gear.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to drug testing.
• Willingness to work overtime with a varying schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods
