Job summary

Invenergy’s Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI, seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the facility. The role requires outdoor work, climbing towers, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.

You will perform routine maintenance on GE wind turbines, troubleshoot faults, and uphold a clean, safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols. The base pay and benefits reflect industry standards for the site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Climb ladders daily to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair or replace components.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with overtime during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
