Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin. This on-site role requires climbing turbines, performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, and ensuring safe operations.

You will work a 40-hour week with potential overtime during peak maintenance periods, and the position offers competitive hourly pay with benefits. DOE and driving requirements apply.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights above 80 meters.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wear safety equipment, inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults and replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
