Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI. The role involves operating and maintaining wind turbine systems, climbing towers, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.

The position is on-site, with a 40-hour week plus overtime during peak periods. A high school diploma and hands-on technical experience are required, along with a valid driver's license and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily and perform inspections/repairs.
• Able to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding gear.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety equipment to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak periods.
