Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support wind turbine operations across multiple sites within the OH1 hub. The role involves daily maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Site Lead and Manager to fulfill contract requirements and timelines.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year of wind tech experience (or related education), and basic computer skills. Local travel and rotating shifts are expected, with potential overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to meet contractual obligations and daily customer requirements for wind turbine equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Assist in site operations with minimal supervision while following safety requirements.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
