Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on wind turbines at multiple sites within the hub OH1. The role requires climbing towers, handling heavy equipment, and coordinating with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.

Ideal candidates hold a Wind Certificate or technical degree, with 1+ years of turbine experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 1+ year as Wind Technician/Mechanic or Wind Certificate Program/Assoc. degree in Energy
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Able to handle 50 lbs repeatedly and climb towers up to 300 feet daily
• Must meet manufacturer weight limits (up to 300 lbs incl. gear)
• Willing to work in industrial facilities and power industry environments
• Willing to work rotating shifts and on-call as required
• Not a remote position; work at multiple wind sites within the hub OH1

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines
• Document work using service reporting procedures
• Collaborate with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements
• Support site operations under manager supervision and safety guidelines
• Coordinate with GE's remote operations center when necessary
