Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support on-site maintenance across NM hub sites. You will perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on wind turbine systems, working with site leadership to meet contractual requirements and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting with documentation of work performed. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED with wind experience or related certificates, plus basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ year wind technician experience.
• Wind Certificate or Associate Degree in Energy acceptable.
• 2 years of electrical work experience and passing a technical knowledge assessment.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions on wind turbine systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Document all work performed using service reporting procedures and coordinate with GE’s remote operations center.
• Follow safety requirements and assist in site operations as directed by management.
