Job summary

The Avangrid Power Wind Technical Trainer will support the operation of the wind turbine fleet and develop and implement effective training programs. You will partner with operations leadership, plant personnel, accounting, IT, and supply chain to ensure training aligns with operational needs.

You will deliver in-person, web-based and self-paced programs, coach technicians, manage external trainers, and travel to wind plants as required to maintain technical proficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience with Oracle, SAP or other mainstream EAM systems.
• Minimum 3 years training in energy production environment.
• Experience delivering instructor-led training using PowerPoint and Teams.
• Advanced computer skills with EAM, MS Office, data management.
• Experience coaching and developing technical personnel in field operations.
• Requires approximately 40% travel.

Responsibilities

• Review training materials and program effectiveness, and develop improvements.
• Develop and deliver in-person, web-based and self-paced training programs and drive feedback to best practices.
• Train personnel in EAM, technical areas, safety, and other operations topics.
• Collaborate with management and plant personnel to improve processes and training across the fleet.
• Manage external trainers or vendors providing training or related functions.
• Perform training at wind plants and other locations as required.
• Provide ongoing operational support and ensure internal controls.
• Maintain technical proficiency through ongoing professional development and certifications.
