Job summary

Southern Power seeks a Wind Site Deputy Manager for the Salt Fork facility in Donley County, TX. You will lead a small team of technicians and contractors, oversee BOP assets, outages, and reporting, and drive safety and environmental performance across the site.

Candidate must manage warranties, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Must be able to climb turbines and travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in wind energy.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database applications.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to climb turbine towers up to 120 meters in height, 5–10 times per week.
• ANSI Fall Protection Standards understanding is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-site activities are conducted in a safety-conscious manner and manage all operations for balance-of-plant assets.
• Oversee O&M-related contracts and manage warranties.
• Facilitate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting according to safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Monitor facility performance against KPIs and manage contractor performance.
• Engage internal and external resources as needed and coordinate with suppliers and service entities.
