Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a technically skilled professional for a remote operations role in Schenectady, NY. The position involves on-site, 24/7 rotating shifts with direct supervisory instructions and structured tasks to maintain fleet assets.

The candidate will troubleshoot power assets remotely, document data per policies, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's in Engineering/IT/Energy/Ops/CS or an associate degree with 3 years of technical experience or a high school diploma with 4 years of technical experience.
Must be willing to travel 10% and work on-site in Schenectady NY on a 24/7 rotating shift including on-call.

Responsibilities

Perform remote troubleshooting of power assets escalated from Fleet Support Operators.
Read, understand, execute and update fault handling procedures.
Document and communicate technical data per engineering policies and procedures.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and provide monitoring support as needed.
Support parameter and software updates and communicate significant issues to stakeholders.
Train new employees and document work per approved procedures.
Manage on-call tasks and balance of plant responsibilities as required.
Actively manage customer phone support requests.
