Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support onshore wind sites, with local travel within the hub. The role focuses on turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repairs, collaborating with site leaders to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1+ year wind tech experience or related education, and basic computer skills. Relocation assistance is provided and remote work options may apply in some hubs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience as Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work with site leadership to meet contractual obligations and daily activities around electrical/mechanical equipment of GE wind turbines.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable-speed turbines.
• Document work using service reporting procedures and coordinate with GE’s remote operations center.
