Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Technician to support Major Component Upgrades across the United States. The role involves on-site electrical and HV work, directing crews, and coordinating with repair engineers on non-standard GE Vernova fleet equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and producing technical reports, while ensuring safety and cost control. Expect domestic and some international travel with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Appropriately qualified electrical fitter or electrical technician with HV experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with test equipment and procedures.
• Excellent English reading, writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical direction during installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance.
• Coordinate crews and supervise contractors on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues across power equipment.
• Prepare job planning documents and maintain accurate reports and timesheets.
• Maintain safety standards and manage costs and expenditures.
