Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support onshore wind sites with local travel within the hub. The role involves maintaining turbine operation, safety, and warranty repair, collaborating with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract timelines and GE standards.

The candidate should have wind experience or related certificates, strong basic computer skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts and remote coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to meet contractual obligations and daily activities on the GE wind turbine generator.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on wind turbines.
• Assist in site operations with supervision and safety compliance.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
