Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Wind Farm Technician to service and maintain wind turbines at Stoney Corners Wind Farm in McBain, MI. The role emphasizes safe, efficient repairs and collaboration with fellow technicians in challenging conditions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic fields, and be able to travel up to 15% to domestic sites. PLC experience and a valid passport are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic field preferred.
• Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by safety regulations; pass a medical physical.
• Experience with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% to sites in the US and training facilities; must hold valid passport and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain Siemens Energy wind turbines at Stoney Corners Wind Farm.
• Collaborate with technicians in demanding and hazardous conditions to ensure prompt repairs.
• Enhance wind farm operations by implementing improvements in daily tasks and safety procedures.
• Prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation and problem solving.
• Support wind farm operations by taking on additional roles when needed.
