Siemens Gamesa in Lenox, IA seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to service and maintain turbines at Adams County Wind Farm. You will collaborate with technicians to perform repairs, ensuring prompt, efficient operations in a demanding environment.

This role requires climbing and working at heights up to 300 feet, strict safety adherence, and the ability to handle physical tasks. A high school diploma and 2+ years in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic fields are required; a college degree is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic fields preferred; college degree or equivalent competency desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and in a team; meet body weight restrictions (265 lbs max) and pass medical physical.
• Strong ability to plan daily/weekly work with quality focus; analyze and solve problems independently.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems including PLC controls and power electronics.
• Experience interacting with customers at various levels; travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service Siemens Gamesa Wind Turbines at Adams County Wind Farm.
• Work inside turbine enclosure at heights up to 300 feet.
• Meet physical demands and safety requirements in hazardous conditions.
• Support wind farm operations and repairs with a collaborative team.
• Travel to sites within district and training facilities in the US (up to 15%).
