Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in Scarborough, ME seeks a Wind Service Technician to join our on-site team. You will support on-site service for wind turbines, prioritizing safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while collaborating with travel engineers.

The role requires physical ability to work at heights, operate electrical and hydraulic equipment, and travel up to 25% across sites. Training and certifications may be needed, with growth opportunities in wind energy services.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic electrical and/or mechanical skills.
• Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
• Position requires that employees be able to ascend to heights up to 250 feet or greater, work in confined spaces and discern colors.
• Flexibility to travel from site to site, Travel is expected to be 25%.
• Hands experience working with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters.
• Meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less (safety regulation on the equipment to use).
