Job summary

EDP Renewables North America is hiring a Wind Technician II for our Lost Lakes Wind Farm in Lake Park, IA. This on-site role covers wind turbine maintenance, inspection, and equipment diagnostics to ensure safe, reliable power generation.

You will perform LOTO, tailboard briefings, data collection, and coordinate with remote operations while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Prior wind-industry experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of college or technical school education or equivalent training/experience
• Proficient in MS Office, SQL Server, and reporting systems
• Experience with maintenance and electronic testing equipment and diagnostics tools
• Knowledge of crane and rigging requirements is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and associated plant equipment including substation and tower switchgear
• Identify improvements to processes and procedures
• Communicate effectively and implement control management changes
• Seek assistance for turbine issues beyond trained scope
• Adhere to environmental health and safety programs and act as a safety role model
• Document work using service reporting systems and complete training timely
• Coordinate with EDPR Remote Operations Center for remote operations when needed
• Perform QA/QC inspections per SOP and document findings
