EDP Renewables seeks an entry-level Wind Technician I for our Lake Park wind facility. You will perform on-site maintenance, inspections, and documentation to support safe turbine operation.

This role emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration with a safety-focused team. Successful candidates bring a mechanical background, basic IT skills, and a willingness to work in diverse weather conditions while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred.
• Strong mechanical background, gearing-related.
• 1–2 years wind energy or related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with power plant operations and turbines, high voltage switching; post-operational repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment including substation and tower switchgear.
• Identify safety gaps and risk mitigation; communicate findings to staff.
• Document work with computer-based service reporting; adhere to internal controls.
• Participate in on-the-job training and coordinate with Remote Operations Center as needed.
