Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a Wind Farm Technician I to perform safe operations and maintenance on wind farms and related facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test systems, while documenting findings and contributing to continuous safety and reliability improvements.

The role requires an on-site presence, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between sites as needed. 5+ years in renewable energy is preferred, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and lead retrofit

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or equivalent certification in renewable energy technology preferred.
• Unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must live within 1 hour drive to site.
• Minimum 5 years of technical renewable energy experience preferred.
• Direct wind turbine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe operations and maintenance on wind farms and BoP equipment.
• Lead or assist with retrofit installations and complex repairs.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and thorough reporting.
• Troubleshoot to root cause and implement improvements.
• Mentor junior staff and support cross‑department collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation and respond to on‑call duties.
