Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC in the United States is seeking a Wind Farm Technician I to ensure safe and effective execution of operations and maintenance across wind farms and related facilities, following EHS protocols.

The role involves inspections, troubleshooting, repairs of renewable energy systems and BoP equipment, plus mentoring junior staff, coordinating with teams, and supporting retrofit installations while maintaining thorough documentation and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must live within 1 hour drive time to site.
• Minimum 5 years of technical renewable energy experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operation and maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with site policies and EHS.
• Lead installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of renewable energy systems and BoP.
• Conduct tests, inspections, and reporting after planned maintenance or outages.
• Lead large retrofit installations and complex repairs.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements.
• Train, supervise, and support junior team members.
• Serve as backup to personnel at other RWE sites as needed.
• Maintain documentation and communicate findings to managers.
