Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Wind Farm Technician II to support operations and maintenance of one or more wind farms and related facilities in the United States. You will safely execute scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, train, and participate in safety exercises while maintaining tool and equipment readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, ability to work independently or in a team, and willingness to travel to and from sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission and/or distribution.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• Wind turbine experience preferred (Vestas, GE, Acciona, Nordex).
• Willing to relocate within 1 hour drive of site.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic circuit drawings.
• Ability to travel to and from job sites as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assure that all operation and maintenance activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with site policies and procedures.
• Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages.
• Perform safety and other wind farm related tasks and back up personnel at other sites as needed.
• Assist with turbine maintenance including services, major component work and troubleshooting.
• Assist with Balance of Plant maintenance including substation and collection system work.
• Adhere to the company’s values and behaviors; other duties as assigned by the manager.
