Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Wind Farm Technician II to support the operations and maintenance of wind farms and related facilities. The role emphasizes safe execution of scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks, with accountability for plant tools, equipment, and records in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Sciences or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in operations/maintenance in power generation or related fields.
• Licenses/certifications such as Journeyman, Master Electrician, or Wind Tech Certificate are acceptable substitutions.
• Must have a valid driver license and wind turbine experience preferred.
• Willingness to relocate within 1 hour of site and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting on wind farm systems and equipment.
• Assist with turbine maintenance, systems tests, and corrective repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and records in the CMMS; support O&M team with technical guidance.
• Support Balance of Plant procedures and substation maintenance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures and collaborate with site team.
