Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking an Operations Site Supervisor to oversee wind farm operations and maintenance across sites, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and performance targets. You will work with internal teams and external partners to optimize asset value and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) and 5–7 years of wind energy experience, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant wind energy experience
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database applications
• Analytical problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Manage all operations and maintenance activities for balance-of-plant (BOP) assets within established operating guidelines for projects 100–400 MW.
• Interface with local communities to establish and maintain rapport
• Oversee facilities’ operations, maintenance-related contracts, and agreements for sites under warranty
• Manage turbine operations and maintenance for sites off-warranty
• Facilitate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting per safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements
• Monitor facility performance against KPIs and expected results
• Engage internal and external resources as needed to address performance issues
• Represent the company locally before interconnection and customer entities
• Interact with landowners and community relations
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers and service entities as needed
• Monitor generating equipment for function, service, and repairs
• Identify and engage contractors for balance-of-plant maintenance
• Ensure safety-focused on-site activities and quality electronic communication
• Oversee new facility construction and commissioning activities
• Ensure adherence to best practices and value retention for each facility
