Nordex Group is seeking a Lead Commissioner to manage on-site wind farm commissioning, coordinating Nordex USA technicians and subcontractors. The role emphasizes ensuring WTGs reach substantial completion with high quality and safety standards, while planning daily activities and delivering clear progress reports.

Ideal candidates will bring wind turbine commissioning experience, leadership, and strong problem-solving, with the ability to travel extensively and work in dynamic field

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent wind industry training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as Wind Turbine Commissioner or similar field leadership.
• Minimum 2 years of WTG commissioning experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fiber optic systems.
• Competent in switching various switchgear.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and prepare reports.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Schedule daily work activities for Nordex and subcontractor Commissioners and track project progress.
• Provide field support, troubleshoot turbine operations and procedures.
• Audit commissioning activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain spare parts inventories and complete non-conformance reports.
• Track inventories of tools, PPE, and vehicle inspections.
• Prepare commissioning reports and progress trackers for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
• Verify certifications and trainings of technicians on site.
• Support post-sales service activities including installation and troubleshooting.
