Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager with daily on-site activities at wind farm projects, including erection and commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence. The role requires close work with site crews, customers, and contractors across multi-phase gates.

The candidate will travel to project sites domestically and internationally, with a focus on safety and efficient coordination of heavy equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience accepted.
• Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
• Experience in quality management and quality control processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to project sites.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
• WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with everyday activities at the Wind Farm during erection and commissioning.
• Coordinates activities during erection and commissioning of the WTG from start to Take Over Certification.
• Coordinates mobilization of heavy equipment on-site, including cranes and erection equipment.
• Helps organize and track quality control and transportation documents.
• Interacts with customers and contractors during wind farm construction.
• Assists with operating at the wind farm during manager rotations.
