Responsibilities

  • Support medication charging and revenue integrity initiatives.
  • Configure and maintain interfaces between Epic Willow and third-party systems.
  • Participate in upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization across pharmacy services.
  • Provide Tier II/III support for Epic Willow users.

Job Summary

The Epic Willow Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of the Epic Willow application suite, including Willow Inpatient Pharmacy, Willow Inventory, and related medication management workflows. This position partners with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to support safe, efficient, and compliant medication-use processes throughout the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, build, configure, test, andmaintainEpic Willow functionality, including medication records, order verification workflows, dispensing workflows, medication administration support, pharmacy inventory management, formularies, medication warnings and alerts, automated dispensing cabinet integrations, and pharmacy work queues.
  • Analyze pharmacy and medication management workflows and translate operational requirements into Epic configurations.
  • Develop andmaintainmedication-related clinical decision support tools, rules, alerts, and best practice advisories.
  • Support medication charging and revenue integrity initiatives related to pharmacy operations.
  • Configure andmaintaininterfaces between Epic Willow and third-party pharmacy systems.
  • Participate in application upgrades, enhancement releases, and new functionality implementations.
  • Identifyopportunities for optimization and workflow improvement across inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy services.
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III application support for Epic Willow users.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to medication ordering, verification, dispensing, inventory, andadministrationworkflows.
  • Utilize Epic troubleshooting tools and logging utilities to resolve application issues.
  • Coordinate with Epic Technical Services and vendorsregardingissue resolution and enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations asrequired.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nursing leadership, providers, and operational stakeholders.
  • Participate in governance committees, optimization initiatives, and project teams.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for new build, enhancements, regulatory updates, upgrade testing, and integrated workflow testing.
  • Maintain application documentation, workflow diagrams, testing results, change records, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide go-live support, end-user onboarding, and workflow education.
  • Participate in department rounding and operational engagement activities toidentifyprocess improvement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and workflow analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of medicationmanagementworkflows and healthcare operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Willow Inpatient certification and/or Epic Willow Inventory certification.
  • Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Informatics, or healthcare IT experience.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting Epic or other electronic health record systems.
  • Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, inventory management, formulary management, medication dispensing, and medication administration workflows.
  • Experienceparticipatingin EHR implementation or optimization projects.
  • Familiarity with medication safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of hospital and ambulatory pharmacy workflows.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into Epic system design.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of medication-use processes and pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with Epic tools including Hyperspace, Reporting Workbench, Radar, Sherlock, and Cogito (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and protect sensitive information.
