Job Summary
The Senior Epic Clinical Pharmacy Application Analyst works on the build, implementation, and maintenance of Epic pharmacy applications and medication workflows. The role optimizes pharmacy practices, collaborates with leaders on medication management, conducts advanced analysis of processes, leads project teams, resolves complex issues, and provides guidance on best practices for clinical medication management. The analyst reports to the ISD Manager/Director and may work under the Lead Informatics Pharmacist. Responsibilities include medication build, formulary management, order set configuration, clinical decision support, operational troubleshooting, system integrations such as Pyxis, and Epic Willow functionality.
Desired Skillsets
- Epic Willow inpatient experience preferred

- Understanding of synonyms, dispense codes, orderables, and NDC mapping
- Experience with dispense prep, alerts build/maintenance, and pharmacy workflows

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: PharmD. degree required
- Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice as a registered pharmacist; Epic Certification required within 120 days of beginning EPIC curriculum/training
- Experience: At least 4years of pharmacy experience with 1year in healthcare MIS or similar system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation
- Preferred: 4years working knowledge of the medication use process; experience implementing large and complex information systems in a healthcare environment; change management, clinical informatics, project management, quality improvement, data analysis, decision support, and EHR experience
- Other: Advanced knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office, including Visio or equivalent; experience directing CRM skills for problem resolution; ability to translate concepts into actions; intermediate‑to‑advanced working knowledge of Epic or other EHR applications; demonstrated leadership of analysts; strong planning, organization, communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
Key Responsibilities
- Data, Information, and Knowledge Management – manage medication data and promote integration and interoperability across Epic and related systems
- Technical Administration – support Epic Application Analysts, lead design, build, test, and implementation of applications and associated systems
