Job summary

Adelante Healthcare seeks a WIC Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure efficient operation of the WIC program, compliance with regulations, and high-quality services for participants. The role focuses on QA reviews, performance improvement, and training staff to sustain continuous enhancement across centers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of WIC program guidelines, data analysis and reporting, quality assurance and compliance monitoring, strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience in training staff, attention to detail, time management, interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and experience with data management systems and working with vulnerable populations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in quality assurance or data collection can substitute.
• Experience with HEDIS/quality metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and foster working relationships to support accreditation and regulatory Quality Improvement goals.
• Plan and implement special projects related to quality improvement.
• Lead CQI sessions when opportunities are identified.
• Collaborate on annual Quality Management Plan development and implementation.
• Coordinate with WIC leadership on policies, procedures, and evaluation.
• Develop action plans to improve quality metrics with site leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of updated WIC and Adelante regulations.
• Prepare reports on audits, findings, and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance and support training across sites.
