AccessHealth, a private nonprofit community health center, seeks a WIC support specialist to perform clinical, technical and clerical tasks essential to WIC certification and benefits issuance.

The role requires organizing duties, handling confidential information with integrity, and contributing to nutrition education and outreach efforts in a team-driven environment. Day shift, full-time, on-site in Hempstead, TX.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year in health field preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Answer phones and schedule appointments for referrals.
• Determine participant eligibility per WIC policy.
• Record diet recall, weighings, and hemoglobin tests for WIC eligibility.
• Provide referrals and maintain confidential records.
• Support daily WIC reports, certification and nutrition education classes.
• Promote breastfeeding and outreach activities.
