Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a WIC Support Specialist in Hempstead, TX. You will perform clinical, technical and clerical tasks to complete WIC certification and issue benefits, with a day-shift schedule including a 3rd Saturday.

Responsibilities include intake calls, eligibility determination, diet recalls, weight/height measurements, and confidential record keeping. Responsibilities also cover referrals, data entry for reports, nutrition education, and coordination of food delivery, while promoting

Qualifications

• One-year work experience, preferably in the health field.
• Ability to work with people of all socioeconomic levels.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, make appointments and transfer participants between sites.
• Determine participant eligibility according to WIC policy.
• Record diet recall, weigh, measure and graph, and test blood hemoglobin.
• Provide referrals and maintain confidential records.
• Support daily reports, nutrition education, and food delivery processes.
• Promote breastfeeding and participate in outreach activities.
