Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a seasoned Team Leader II to manage a high-impact Wholesale Payments group. You will drive delivery, client relationships, and profitable growth while guiding strategic direction and governance.

You will lead a diverse team, ensure risk controls, collaborate with lines of business and product partners, and optimize onboarding and client experience. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Five+ years direct experience managing a team, performance, and resource allocations.
• Seven+ years of relevant financial services or related work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, innovation, and performance in production.
• Experience in partnering with diverse teams across locations.
• Ability to manage and negotiate with senior leadership and alliances.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into operational expectations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Wholesale Payments team to deliver client solutions and drive client satisfaction.
• Partners with Line of Business, Product and stakeholders to improve processes and roll out features.
• Develops short- and long-term strategic goals for Wholesale Payments and aligns team execution.
• Maintains risk governance, controls, and compliance with regulations.
• Hands-on support with capacity planning and meeting service levels.
• Speaks as SME for quality, efficiency projects and process improvement.
• Mentors teammates and drives talent development and performance management.
