Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist for our Wet Chemistry department in an environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analyses on environmental samples, ensuring the integrity and quality of data that impact communities and ecosystems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or related STEM field) and the ability to work in a lab with PPE. Training is provided, and a commitment to safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM field; training provided if needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, exposure to odors, and use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using chemistry and biochemistry methods; look for contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results in lab records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
