Job summary

Pace is seeking a Scientist in our Wet Chemistry department to join its environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis of environmental samples, ensuring data integrity and quality that impact communities and ecosystems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM, with training provided as needed. You will work Monday–Friday in the afternoon shift, with opportunities to grow within Pace’s safety-conscious lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM field; or equivalent combo of education, training, and experience.
• Willingness to receive training and develop skills in environmental testing.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, standing for extended periods and wearing PPE.
• Experience in environmental testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods; look for contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results; maintain high-quality lab records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
