Job summary

Mech-Mind Robotics is seeking a Sales Manager for the Western US to own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to contract closure—across electronics, semiconductor, medical, OEMs, ODMs, logistics, and system integrators.

You will partner with engineering, operations, and support teams to design customer‑specific solutions, articulate ROI, and drive regional growth. Willingness to travel throughout the Western US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of full‑cycle sales experience in industrial automation, machine vision, robotics, or closely related industrial technologies, with a demonstrable track record of new business development.
• Proven ability to prospect and close independently — comfortable with cold outreach, on‑site technical presentations, and navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder buying committees in multinational manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical fluency in automation and machine vision solutions; translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Highly self‑motivated, target‑driven, and energized by ambiguity — you perform best when you're building something, not inheriting it.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout Western US.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the Western US territory strategy, with periodic coverage of other industrial hubs across the region.
• Manage the full sales cycle — lead generation through contract closure — against aggressive regional growth targets.
• Independently prospect, qualify, and close new business with electronics & semiconductor enterprises, medical manufacturers, logistics leaders, OEMs, ODMs, and automation integrators.
• Engage with Engineering, Operations, and Plant Management to architect customer‑specific solutions — robotic guidance, precision assembly, inline AOI, and logistics sorting.
• Identify high‑volume AOI and inline 3D inspection opportunities where defect reduction and throughput optimization are KPI drivers.
• Serve as primary contact for key accounts; identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities and maintain long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with engineering, applications, and support to scope, prototype, and deliver winning solutions.
• Monitor Western US industry trends and competitor moves to uncover whitespace and risks.
• Represent the brand at trade shows and events to build pipeline.
