Job summary

Flanigan’s is hiring in Florida for a friendly server ready to provide great guest experiences, take orders, and deliver food and beverages promptly.

You will ensure accurate payments at the POS, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety policies in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support team with table appearance and running food/drink.
• Know menu and promotions; answer guests' questions clearly.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS.
• Fetch and deliver orders promptly.
• Process payments and provide correct change efficiently.
• Handle shift changes and opening/closing duties.
• Pack and verify ToGo orders with guests.
• Greet guests at curbside pickup.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately enter orders into POS system
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Pack and verfy all ToGo orders with guest
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Work in a fast paced environment
