Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises in Surfside, FL is seeking friendly, energetic staff to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, take orders, operate the POS, deliver food and beverages, and assist with curbside pickups. A positive attitude and clear communication are essential to ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area.
• Take orders and enter into POS.
• Deliver food/drink to guests in a timely manner.
• Collect payments and ensure accurate transactions using POS.
• Maintain table appearance and assist with side work.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately enter orders into POS system
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Pack and verfy all ToGo orders with guest
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Work in a fast paced environment
