Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises in Miami is seeking friendly, reliable restaurant staff to join our fast-paced team. You will greet guests, take orders, enter them in the POS, and ensure accurate, timely service from kitchen to table.

This role requires staying on your feet, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, English fluency, and passing Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications. We offer a five-day work week, health/dental insurance, a 401(k), and staff meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• English reading/writing of guest checks and notes.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program per state statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.

• Know the menu and promotions; answer guests' questions clearly.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately.
• Bring orders from kitchen/bar to guests promptly.
• Process payments (cash, card, gift cards) and provide correct change.
• Handle shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework.
• Verify and package ToGo orders with guests.
• Greet guests at curbside pickup.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately enter orders into POS system
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Pack and verfy all ToGo orders with guest
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Work in a fast paced environment
