Job summary

Genetix Biotherapeutics is seeking a National Account Executive to drive payer access for our gene therapy portfolio in the Western U.S. This field-based role focuses on strategic payer engagement, contract negotiations, and collaboration with treatment centers to secure timely reimbursement.

You will lead value-based agreements, educate QTCs and payers on coverage criteria, and build cross-functional relationships to streamline patient pathways.

Qualifications

• 10 years of biotech/pharma experience with a bachelor’s degree required; master’s in health or finance preferred.
• Track record of engaging clinical and research institutions and integrated delivery networks on market access issues.
• Deep knowledge of US payer landscape within cell/gene therapies (medical, pharmacy benefit).
• Strong clinical aptitude; familiarity with Commercial Payers, PBMs, Stop Loss, and Government Payers.

Responsibilities

• Meet access goals and ensure medical coverage pathways align with FDA prescribing information.
• Collaborate with QTCs, Marketing, Patient Support, and Medical Value Liaisons to identify access barriers.
• Implement strategies to support patient access and reimbursement across payer segments.
• Serve as regional contact for the QTC network and educate on Medicaid and payer criteria.
• Develop core relationships with Genetix QTCs’ business functions for patient pull-through.
• Work to establish hygienic PA submissions and reduce submission errors.
• Negotiate and manage value contracts with payers for optimal access; present VBA at the payer level.
• Travel approximately 50% to cover the Western U.S. region.
