Job summary

Genetix Biotherapeutics is seeking a National Account Executive to drive payer engagement and access strategy for our gene therapies. The role covers the Western United States, with approximately 50% travel and potential residence in California.

The ideal candidate has a decade of biotech/pharma market access experience, deep payer knowledge, and a proven ability to negotiate value-based contracts with payers and treatment centers.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in biotech/pharma with market access focus.
• Deep understanding of US payer landscape in cell/gene therapies.
• Strong clinical acumen and relationships with key payer stakeholders.
• Experience negotiating outcomes-based or alternative payment models.
• Willingness to travel ~50% across the Western U.S. region.

Responsibilities

• Meet access goals and ensure coverage pathways align with FDA prescribing information.
• Engage payers, treatment centers, and internal Genetix teams to remove access barriers.
• Lead negotiations and implement value-based contracts at payer level.
• Coordinate with QTCs, MVLs, and other stakeholders to streamline PA submissions and approvals.
• Educate and support QTCs on PA requirements and appeal processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with hospital and payer partners to optimize patient access.
