Job summary

Genetix Biotherapeutics is seeking a National Account Executive to drive payer engagement and access strategies for our gene therapies across the Western U.S. The role requires extensive collaboration with treatment centers, payers, and field teams to secure timely reimbursement and access.

You will negotiate value-based arrangements, coordinate with QTCs, and lead cross-functional efforts to streamline patient pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in a health or finance field preferred.
• Experience engaging clinical and research institutions on market access issues.
• Deep knowledge of US payer landscape for cell and gene therapies or complex therapies.

Responsibilities

• Meet access goals and ensure medical coverage pathways align with FDA prescribing information.
• Collaborate with QTC Account Liaisons, Marketing, Patient Support, and Medical Value Liaisons to identify access barriers and ensure patient access.
• Implement strategies to support patient access and reimbursement across payer segments.
• Serve as the regional point-of-contact for the QTC network, educating on PA processes and payer criteria.
• Develop relationships with Genetix QTCs across contracting, revenue, government affairs, and hospital teams.
• Proactively work with QTCs to establish timely PA submissions and reduce administrative errors.
• Engage national and regional payers to influence criteria and negotiate VBA at the payer level.
• Negotiate value contracts with payers for optimal Genetix product access.
• Respond to ad hoc payer requests and resolve delays in the approval process.
• Educate QTCs on case rate agreements to expedite access and connect them with key payer decision makers.
