Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician for the West region, supporting data centers across OR, NV, and AZ. The role requires hands-on hardware repair, rack installations, and network troubleshooting in a 24/7 environment, with travel within the regional sites.

You'll work with engineers and operations teams to install equipment, document processes, and respond to incidents, ensuring continuous service and safety compliance in a fast-paced cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Willingness to travel to multiple data center sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix across components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents impacting service availability.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders (engineers, vendors, contractors).
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance/change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements; assist in training new team members.
