Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our West region operations across OR, NV, AZ. You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, monitor critical facilities, and support 24/7 uptime with PM and troubleshooting.

This role requires travel between data centers, the ability to work flexible hours, and comfort with standing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment. A technical background or associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to travel to multiple data center sites and work at various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors ensuring adherence to practices and local regulations.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites and may include 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.
