Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Director of Civil Engineering - Regional Practice Leader to grow and lead our West Region civil engineering practices. You will build teams, expand client relationships, and drive sustainable growth with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business judgment.

You will lead cross-office disciplines, hire and mentor leaders, and advance delivery quality and financial performance while aligning with our strategic objectives and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Professional Engineering license is strongly preferred.
• MBA or advanced business degree or demonstrated business leadership experience preferred.
• Significant civil engineering leadership experience including client relationships and financial performance.
• Experience leading national client programs and scaling delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow regional civil engineering practices across the West Region with accountability for client service and financial performance.
• Develop and execute regional practice strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Strengthen regional brand recognition and market presence in priority markets.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing and emerging markets for long-term success.
• Build and mentor high-performing regional teams across offices and disciplines.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen client relationships by understanding needs and delivering trusted advisory support.
• Partner with market leaders and technical teams to support strategic pursuits.
• Communicate the Core States value proposition: integrated delivery, speed, and cost certainty.
• Promote delivery discipline across scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
