Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking a friendly Fitness Floor Associate to ensure members have an exceptional experience on the fitness floor. You will create a safe, welcoming environment and help guests connect with health resources and YMCA programs.

Under the Wellness/Fitness Director, the role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and strong communications to support member goals and the branch’s health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 20 and at least two years of customer service experience.
• Relevant experience in health and wellness preferred.
• Commitment to YMCA mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person on the fitness floor, answer questions and enforce policies.
• Maintain a constant presence on the fitness floor, keep areas clean and welcoming.
• Provide exceptional customer service, greet members by name and promote programs.
• Identify and report maintenance issues on the fitness floor to supervision.
• Encourage participation in Strong Community Campaign and YMCA initiatives.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as directed by the Wellness/Fitness Director.
