Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, fitness, or sales preferred.
• Comfortable promoting YMCA programs and services.
• Current fitness certifications applicable to the activities.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Enthusiastic about health and wellness and helping others reach goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage members and guests professionally.
• Provide orientations and instruction on safe use of fitness equipment.
• Promote wellness programs and YMCA personal training services.
• Assist members with purchasing training packages.
• Monitor wellness floor for safety and proper equipment use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wellness center.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisor.
• Respond to member inquiries and escalate concerns as needed.
• Uphold YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Stay current with emergency procedures and trainings.
