Job summary

The Wellness Experience Floor Lead at YMCA of Northwest North Carolina in Winston-Salem seeks to grow membership and retention by building authentic relationships, guiding members on uFit sessions, and supervising wellness floor activities.

You will lead on-floor engagement 35-40 hours weekly, support staff, coordinate with Relationship Specialist, and ensure a safe, clean exercise environment while promoting programs and events.

Qualifications

• One or more nationally recognized Personal Training, Group Exercise, Les Mills or Coaching certifications preferred.
• CPR/FA/AED/02 (ASHI) required within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, related experience acceptable.
• Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform new member uFit sessions in accordance with YMCA protocol.
• Lead wellness floor services on the wellness floor 35-40 hours a week, engaging with members and classes.
• Help implement the retention plan with phone calls and emails to increase usage and reduce barriers.
• Assist members on equipment and demonstrate proper use.
• Maintain a clean and safe exercise environment and report hazards.
• Coordinate with Wellness and Membership staff on appointments and onboarding.
• Promote programs, personal training, boot camps, classes and clinics during encounters with members.
