Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Wellness Coach I to support a positive member experience and oversee the wellness area under the Wellness Director. Responsibilities include monitoring the fitness center, assisting members, and ensuring all wellness programs operate smoothly.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, knowledge of health concepts, and a customer-service orientation. The role requires maintaining necessary certifications and completing foundational training within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of fitness-related issues including injury prevention.
• Ability to demonstrate use of wellness-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellness center floor and assist members.
• Complete foundational courses and maintain certifications.
• Promote and evaluate wellness programs.
