Job summary

CSPNJ is seeking a Wellness Mentor to lead wellness activities and serve as a role model for members and the community. You will work with the Wellness Center Manager to plan and maintain daily operations, and to connect members with community resources and recovery services.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, English communication, and knowledge of wellness and the mental health system. A Peer Certificate is preferred and a NJ driver’s license is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Peer Certification preferred and strongly encouraged within one year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model wellness, recovery, and peer-support principles within the Wellness Center.
• Collaborate with the Center Manager and members to plan, implement, and maintain center operations.
• Identify community needs and connect with organizations for referrals and resources.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local resources to assist members with referrals to recovery services, food banks, and financial aid.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure a welcoming, supportive environment.
